Create Closed Curves From Enclosed Regions

This program is the result of a discussion on Corel's tech-support NewsGroups
about an alternative method to creating shapes in CorelDRAW. Instead of creating
closed shapes and filling them with colours, why can't you just draw the lines
and curves which describe a set of shapes (the same way you would with pencil
and paper) and have the software figure out where the enclosed regions are.
NOTE: If you have downloaded and tried out an earlier version you may
be looking for the next one - which is finally ready. Our
apologies for the delay, sometimes development works slower than we'd like.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
CorelDRAW® v9 has the capability of creating shapes from
the Outlines of objects but the shapes created this way do not 'touch' or share
'walls'. They are separated by a gap the size of the original shapes' outlines.
If you take away the Outlines then you cannot create the shapes.
InterSector operates differently. It is more of a 'trace' for vector
drawings.
You create the paths on a layer in your DRAW document. They do not have to be
closed, they only have to intersect with each other. Then you run the program
and tell it which layer to look in and which layer to put the results in. (you
also have control over other aspects such as Fill and Outline) Then it does the
rest.

This is the third release (v0.4a) of this add-on. The bulk of the
changes are internal. If you tried a previous version you will find this one is
not visibly all that different.
It has been developed and tested only with Draw 9.439 (SP2 or Rev C) and
Adobe Illustrator 7 It has been completely rewritten in VB5. It will not work
directly with Draw v8 or v10. To use it with those versions you will have to
manually export/import AI files.
At this time there is no charge for this software, but we would like to know
who's trying it out so ... the link to it is through the form. The ZIP
file is password protected, the password will be emailed to the address you
provide below. Please enter the correct address or you will not receive the
password and will not be able to install InterSector. The program does minimal
checking so please ensure that you enter the email address correctly.

Those of you who have downloaded and asked to be updated by email about future
versions will be notified as they become available. Our thanks for trying it
out.
